SRIJAN Core Team
Ved Arya, an experienced development professional with more than 20 years of experience in the sector heads SRIJAN as its Managing Trustee. Trained as an aeronautical engineer from IIT Kanpur, Ved earned a postgraduate diploma in management from IIM Ahemdabad in 1981. After a short stint at Tata Consultancy Services, Ved joined PRADAN in 1984. While with PRADAN for nearly 13 years, Ved set up and guided grassroots development projects in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other northern states. When he left PRADAN, he was a member of Coordination Committee, its internal governance structure. He spent an academic year at Boston University as Hubert Humphery Fellow and a semester at Tufts University as UNEP Fellow. Ved set up SRIJAN in 1997.
Vishwanath Rao is a postgraduate in rural management from IRMA with around 20 years of experience in the field of rural development. He has worked in organisations like the Mother Dairy and Action Aid. Human Resource Management and Project Management are his interest areas.
Ram Sundar Roy, an agriculture graduate and postgraduate in rural management from IRMA, he has over 10 years of experience in rural development. Prior to joining SRIJAN, Roy has worked with Tilam Sangh and International Development Enterprises handling projects in Rajasthan and northeastern states. In SRIJAN, Roy is in-charge for our projects in Madhya Pradesh. He is currently on sabbatical.
Rajesh Tripathy is B.Tech in Agri culture from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology. He has about 10 years of experience in micro enterprise development, promoting micro-irrigation schemes in International Development Enterprises . He also has extensive experience in Participatory Irrigation Management and currently leads the project at Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh.
Mohiuddin Ahmed is B.Tech in Agriculture from North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. Mohiuddin has a total of 9 years of experience with GVT, KRIBHCO and DFID in watershed development and dryland farming. Mohiuddin is currently promoting water conservation technologies and livelihood activities in Ichhawar, Sehore in our Sustainable Livelihoods Through Watershed Management Project.
Raj Kumar is a postgraduate in rural management from IRMA. He has about seven years of experience in URMUL, SANKET and a public sector financial institution. He has rich field and research experience. Currently he is leading our project at Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh.
Iqbal Ahmed is Master's in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia, has five years' experience of working in the project in Sagar in MP. He has promoted Common Interest Groups and linked them to livelihood activities.
Kailash Hariharan Iyer is a Master's in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia has four years' experience and is heading the Project in Tonk, Rajasthan.
Padam Jain has about 6 years of experience in working in development including in organizations like Sadguru Foundation and BAIF. Padam has earlier worked in our project in Tonk. He is currently leading our Chhindwara team in MP.
Binita Kalita is a management graduate from Assam Institute of Management. She has around three years' experience in working in livelihoods projects and is currently heading our project in Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh
Santosh L.C is a Masters in Agricuture from the University of Agriculture Sciences Bangalore . He has around three years' experience of working in the Energy Project being implemented by SRIJAN in the Tumkur district.
Manjunath M. has done MSc. [Ag.] from University of Agriculture Sciences , Bangalore and joined SRIJAN thereafter. He has been with SRIJAN for the last over a year and is currently leading our project in Malur, Karnataka.
